Franchesco Donovan Fickey Martinez is an Immigration Attorney and owner of his own immigration law firm. Franchesco grew up in Onslow County, North Carolina. In North Carolina, Franchesco has lived in Hubert, Stella, Jacksonville, Wilmington, Clayton, and Charlotte.
Franchesco first experienced the immigration process when he married his wife, who is from the Philippines. His wife was a J-1 Visa Holder and an exchange teacher in Onslow County Public Schools. Franchesco saw the process from start to finish, and realized the complexities of immigration. He personally experienced the stress, the worries, the numerous immigration forms, and the immigration interview, which he sat next to his lovely wife.
In 2015, Franchesco opened his own practice, calling it Fickey Martinez Law Firm, P.L.L.C. Now, he serves Eastern North Carolina in their immigration needs.
Having attended school between 2008 and 2011, Franchesco graduated Cum Laude from Campbell University with the following degrees:
- Bachelors of Science in Government
- Bachelors of Art in Spanish
Pursuing his life-long love of learning, he then went on to obtain a certificate in Conflict Management and Resolution while attending graduate school at UNCW between 2012 and 2013.
Beginning in 2013, Franchesco pursued his Juris Doctorate at The University of Dayton School of Law. He is proud to have served as a staff writer for the school’s law review journal and he devoted his seminar to Mediation. In 2015, his efforts were rewarded with his Juris Doctorate.
Our firm has handled many kinds of immigration cases, with our most prominent being the Green Card Adjustment of Status. We have clients throughout Eastern NC, and even in states such as New York and California. As an Immigration Attorney, we can help immigration clients in any state.
Being a Military Town, Jacksonville has shown us the challenges that active-duty deployment and change of station have on an immigrant’s process. An expected 5-month process may turn into a 2-year process with PCS Orders. Regardless of your time with us, our practice is to keep a close eye on each client’s filing. If we see issues or expect issues, we keep our clients informed and we “iron out any wrinkles.” “Immigration hiccups” are common and we have a lot of experience fixing complications that arise from both enlisted and civilian clients.
We learned a lot from serving the military members of Camp Lejeune and Cherry Point Air Station. Now, we strive to serve the armed forces of Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, NC.
Since our beginning, we have sought better ways to serve our clients. To relieve travel time, Our Office has opened satellite offices in Fayetteville, NC and Greenville, NC. Now, our clients have more opportunities to meet our Immigration Lawyer in person versus over the phone or through video calls.

Bachelor of Elementary Education, Master of Education concentrating in Special Education, and currently pursuing Bachelor of Science in Biology at East Carolina University.
I was born in Cebu, Philippines. I arrived in the United States as a J-Visa Holder in 2012. I met my husband in 2013, married in 2014, and adjusted my immigration status to a Lawful Permanent Resident. As an immigrant and a Green Card Holder, I can easily relate to many immigration clients. I know of the stress and worries that many immigrants experience in the Green Card application and interview process. I use my immigration experience to make clients more comfortable and prepared for their immigration process.
